You Deserve a Medal: Honors on the Path to True Love (Knock Knock) Graphic designer and Daily Monster creator Stefan G. Bucher returns to Skylight in a post-Valentine's Day event to discuss and sign his book You Deserve a Medal: Honors on the Path to True Love, an illustrated collection of medals awarded for achievements, endurance, and honorable conduct in the fields of dating and relationships. It's a launch party, so come hang out, commiserate, celebrate, get your picture taken in the photo booth, and pick up a copy of this book! Stefan G. Bucher is the man behind the ongoing drawing and storytelling experiment DAILYMONSTER.COM and the “Daily Letter” segments on the rebooted “Electric Company” airing on PBS. Aside from writing and illustrating "You Deserve A Medal – Honors on the Path to Love," he is the is the author and designer of the books All Access—The Making of Thirty  Extraordinary Graphic Designers, The Graphic Eye — Photographs by Graphic Designers From Around The Globe, and 100 Days of Monsters, which chronicles the first 100 days of the Daily Monsters. In his role as a graphic designer he has created designs for Sting, David Hockney, Tarsem, and The New York Times, and works with a whole roster of brilliant, driven clients. He is the inaugural designer and creative director of the Echo Park Time Travel Mart, which operates as a front for Dave Eggers' 826LA, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills.
