Next Meeting - Monday, April 17 at 7:30 pm

by Angela Davis

Next Meeting - Monday April 17th at 7:30 pm

We'll be discussing Women, Race, & Class by Angela Davis.

The Current Events Reading Group is dedicated to reading and discussing works of nonfiction pertinent to the pressing issues of our day.  Topics we explore include: race, class, gender, debt, work, the environment, politics, technology and media, imperialism, post-colonialism, organizing and activism, culture, and aesthetics.

We want this group to empower readers to become more informed, engaged, and connected to both each other and society at large.  We hope this can be a space for respectful, honest, complex thought and discussion.  Both when speaking and listening, members are invited to be generous, open, and considerate. We are committed to making these meetings safe, non-hierarchical, and free of conversions or corrections.

All who wish to join us in this spirit are welcome! To be added to our mailing list email: jake@skylightbooks.com

Those purchasing "Women, Race, and Class" for the meeting are entitled to a 15% discount. Please mention the reading group's name at check out.
