About the Author
Victoria M. Holob wrote the stories in this book when she was in the thick of aviation as a hobby back in the mid 1990's. She shares her own experiences participating in air shows, helping to restore antique airplanes, learning how to fly as a student pilot, listening to exciting stories from older pilots, including a TRUE one about Charles Lindbergh the morniing he took off for Paris in 1927, energency landings in the snow, and basically what it is like to be a part of the general aviation population. The main character, Grandpa Bud, is a fictional character based on a person she met while she had this hobby. If you like airplanes and airplane stories, you will surely enjoy this book.
