For some people, puberty happens at 13. For others, it's as early as 12. Some are there by 14, some by 16. But puberty can leave some people feeling weird, awkward, or even scared-even though they're not even fully a part of their bodies yet. In puberty for boys and girls, hormones and growth spurts are all part of being a teenager. This is a very exciting stage for any teenager, especially a boy or a girl. But, if you are not careful, your body changes can start to negatively affect your self-esteem and self-image. Even worse, your hormones are out of balance and your body is no longer a perfect, adult-looking piece of anatomy. You'll want to start by making sure that your body looks great from head to toe, but you may also want to take a look at how you think about yourself and what you feel about your body.
