The Leisure Architecture of Wayne McAllister (Gibbs Smith)
He gave Big Boys, the Rat Pack, and Hollywood royalty stylish places to swing. This leader of the Googie style of architecture designed some of the most iconic spaces in L.A. and Vegas: Bob's Big Boy, Pig 'n Whistle, The Biltomore Bowl and The Sands. Wayne McAllister embraced the burgeoning car and celebrity cultures of the West and changed the landscape accordingly.
