Goodbye, Again: Essays, Reflections and Illustrations (Harper Perennial)
Jonny Sun is back with a collection of essays and other writings in his unique, funny, and heartfelt style. The pieces range from long meditations on topics like loneliness and being an outsider, to short humor pieces, conversations, and memorable one-liners.Sun was inspired to write Goodbye, Again as a vehicle to talk about what it means to be human. The pieces are a series of meditations on topics such as loneliness, what it means to feel like an outsider, to short humor pieces, conversations, poems, and memorable one-liners – all interspersed with Jonny’s charming black and white line illustrations. His honest writing about his struggles with feeling productive, as well as his own difficulties with anxiety and depression, will connect deeply with his fans as well as anyone attempting to create in our chaotic world. The book also features a sweetly rendered recipe for scrambled eggs that might just make you cry.
