Rebecca "Bee" Sacks (they/she) holds an MFA from the Programs in Writing at the University of California, Irvine. Their debut novel, City of a Thousand Gates, was awarded the Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize for fiction in 2023. A former journalist, they worked at Vanity Fair for several years before moving to Israel to study sacred Jewish texts. Bee now lives in Los Angeles with their dog, Pupik.
Amy Gerstler has published thirteen books of poems, a children's book and several collaborative artists books with visual artists. She also writes art criticism, other journalism, and nonfiction. Her most recent book of poems, Index of Women, was published by Penguin Random House. Her work has appeared in a variety of magazines and anthologies, including The New Yorker, Paris Review, American Poetry Review, Poetry, several volumes of Best American Poetry and The Norton Anthology of Postmodern American Poetry.
