"I swallow your heart and it crawls/ right out of my mouth./ You swallow my heart and flee, but I want it back now, baby. I want it back."

This is heart. This is soul. This is visceral undone being, that is still completely whole and love and shiney through the pain.

A beautifully written, heart-wrenching, wonderfully structured YA book I wish I had growing up. A great pick for the young adult in your life or maybe just a little treat for your own inner child to read and bask in for a little while. Emo.ocean lives on.

Such a wild fun ride packed into this horror novel, and it’s only book one! Great gift for those who love slashers, final girls, and really REALLY messy protagonists. And the sequel is just around the corner, so getting hooked won’t be so awful.

This book is a great start to understanding Borderline Personality Disorder, as well as how to better communicate with people who have Borderline Personality Disorder. Very informational and helpful as it has practical applications to real-life scenarios. A definite must!

A perfect stocking stuffer for EVERYONE in your life. Keep it in your back pocket, tote bag, or close to your heart; this is a perfect little book that packs a punch of information that is sure to make you know that you are valid!

My favorite trans resource! Great for anyone who is trans/nonbinary, anyone who is questioning/curious, and anyone who lovingly supports those. Very educational and provides positive affirmation.

The Craft meets Jennifer's Body with a fun sprinkle of Nahuatl language and legend.

Maybe I just love a good female rage tale, but a hunger is absolutely satiated when reading this unleashing. This book is dripping with questions like "why not punish the men that wrong and bore me?" and "is it so wrong to romanticize losing absolute control?". You will want to savor every last bite when devouring this book, but one piece of advice; read on an empty stomach.

I have been wildly obsessed with vampires since I was a child and this book just recharged and electrified that obsession once again. I was so excited reading this vampire noir slash horror set in Mexico City with the ancient Aztec language of Nahuatl being utilized as an almost love letter to a culture that is slowly fading away. And the vampires are not what you typically think vampires are! The imagery and tie in to history really make this one of my favorite vampire novels ever.

If you've ever been to Rough Trade, seen a Tom of Finland drawing, or ever been curious about hanky code and the politics behind it, this is a one stop shop that'll teach you about not only leather culture, but the Queer culture and community that is often overlooked. I am so happy I stumbled upon this one and I hope that many will now as well.
